La mwcalunula, o nel linguaggio familiare mwcqlunetta, è la zona a forma di mezzaluna e di colore generalmente biancastro che è alla base dell'mwcgunghia.

Rappresenta la parte visibile della mwdamatrice dell'unghia, ossia di quell'insieme di mwdqcellule epiteliali, situate in corrispondenza della radice dell'unghia, da cui ha origine la mwdglamina ungueale.

È maggiormente evidente nel mweapollice, anche se non in tutti è visibile.
